Bacon Preparation
Method
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). This temperature will help the bacon cook evenly and become crispy.
- 2
Prepare the Baking Sheet
Line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil for easy cleanup. Place a wire rack on top of the baking sheet. This allows the fat to drip off as the bacon cooks.
- 3
Arrange the Bacon
Lay the bacon strips in a single layer on the wire rack. Ensure the strips are not overlapping to allow for even cooking.
- 4
Bake the Bacon
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the bacon reaches your desired level of crispiness. Keep an eye on it, as cooking times may vary based on the thickness of the bacon.
- 5
Drain Excess Fat
Once the bacon is cooked, carefully remove it from the oven and transfer the bacon strips to a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess grease.
- 6
Serve
Serve the bacon hot as a side dish, in sandwiches, or as a topping for salads and burgers.
