Directions

1

Prepare the Cream Sauce

In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add the flour and whisk continuously for about 2 minutes until bubbly and golden.

2

Add Milk and Cream

Slowly pour in the milk and heavy cream while whisking to prevent lumps. Cook and stir until the mixture thickens and is smooth.

3

Incorporate Cheeses

Reduce heat to low, add the cheddar cheese, and stir until melted. Season with salt, black pepper, and paprika to taste.

4

Prepare Crab and Shrimp Mixtures

Divide the prepared cream sauce into two bowls. In one bowl, gently fold in the lump crabmeat and in the other bowl, fold in the shrimp.

5

Assemble the Dish

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Spoon the crab mixture into one coquille dish and the shrimp mixture into the other. Sprinkle the top with Parmesan cheese and a bit of paprika.

6

Bake

Place the dishes in the preheated oven and bake for about 20 minutes, or until the tops are golden and bubbly.

7

Garnish and Serve

Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve immediately.
