Method

Pasta Preparation

  1. 1

    Boil Pasta

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.

  2. 2

Add linguini to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Cooking the Protein

  1. 3

    Cook Sausage

In a large skillet, add the sliced country pleasin' sausage over medium heat. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.

  2. 4

Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until they turn pink and are cooked through, about 3-5 minutes. Remove the shrimp and sausage from the skillet and set aside.

Making the Sauce

  1. 5

    Sauté Vegetables

In the same skillet, add a bit of oil if necessary, and sauté the diced onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic until softened, about 4-5 minutes.

  2. 6

    Add Tomatoes

Add the chopped sun-dried tomatoes and cook for an additional 2 minutes.

  3. 7

    Make Cream Sauce

Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, then sprinkle in the Cajun seasoning. Stir well and let simmer for about 5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

  4. 8

Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Combine and Serve

  1. 9

    Combine Ingredients

Return the cooked shrimp and sausage to the skillet, stirring to coat them in the sauce.

  2. 10

    Plate the Dish

Serve the creole shrimp and sausage mixture over the cooked linguini.

  3. 11

Slice the french bread and serve alongside the pasta. Toss mixed greens with your favorite dressing for a refreshing side salad.
