Method

Grilling the Peppers

1

Prepare the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Ensure the grates are clean to prevent sticking.

2

Coat the Peppers

In a bowl, toss the shisito peppers with olive oil and salt until they are evenly coated.

3

Grill the Peppers

Place the peppers directly on the grill grates. Grill for about 6-8 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are blistered and charred.

4

Remove from Grill

Once grilled, remove the peppers from the grill and set aside.

Making the Citrus Goma Sauce

5

Combine Ingredients

In a small bowl, whisk together tahini, lemon juice, orange juice, soy sauce, honey or maple syrup, and water until smooth and creamy.

6

Adjust Consistency

If the sauce is too thick, add a little more water, one teaspoon at a time, until the desired consistency is reached.

Serving

7

Plate the Dish

Arrange the grilled shisito peppers on a serving plate.

8

Drizzle the Sauce

Generously drizzle the citrus goma sauce over the grilled peppers.

9

Add Garnish

Sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped fresh cilantro or parsley over the top for garnish.

10

Serve

Serve immediately while warm as an appetizer or a side dish.
