Cook the Sausage
Add the sliced andouille sausage to the pot and cook for another 5 minutes, allowing the sausage to brown slightly.

Add Broth and Tomatoes
Pour in the chicken broth and tomato sauce. Stir well to combine all ingredients.

Season the Gumbo
Add the bay leaves, Cajun seasoning, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for 20 minutes.

Add Seafood
After the gumbo has simmered, add the shrimp and crab meat. Cook for another 5-7 minutes until the shrimp are pink and cooked through.

Taste and adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper if necessary. Remove bay leaves before serving.
