Preparation

Prepare the Asparagus
Wash the asparagus under cold water and trim the woody ends. Set aside.

Season the Salmon
Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.
Cooking

Cook the Salmon
In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat. When the oil is hot, add the salmon fillets skin-side down. Cook for 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the salmon is cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Sauté the Asparagus
In the same skillet, add the asparagus and sauté for about 4-5 minutes until tender but still crisp. Season with a pinch of salt and black pepper. Remove from heat and keep warm.

Make the Lemon Butter Sauce
In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Stir in the lemon juice and chopped parsley. Remove from heat.
Serving

Plate the Dish
On a serving plate, place a portion of sautéed asparagus. Top with a salmon fillet and drizzle with lemon butter sauce.
