Main Ingredients

Lemon Butter Sauce

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Asparagus

Wash the asparagus under cold water and trim the woody ends. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Season the Salmon

Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Cook the Salmon

In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat. When the oil is hot, add the salmon fillets skin-side down. Cook for 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the salmon is cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

  2. 4

    Sauté the Asparagus

In the same skillet, add the asparagus and sauté for about 4-5 minutes until tender but still crisp. Season with a pinch of salt and black pepper. Remove from heat and keep warm.

  3. 5

    Make the Lemon Butter Sauce

In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Stir in the lemon juice and chopped parsley. Remove from heat.

Serving

  1. 6

    Plate the Dish

On a serving plate, place a portion of sautéed asparagus. Top with a salmon fillet and drizzle with lemon butter sauce.

  2. 7

    Garnish

Optional: garnish with additional parsley or lemon slices before serving.
