Preparation Steps
- 1
Muddle the Sugar
Place the sugar cube in an old-fashioned glass. Add 2 dashes of Angostura bitters on top of the sugar.
- 2
Add Bourbon
Pour 2 ounces of bourbon over the muddled sugar and bitters mixture.
- 3
Add Ice
Fill the glass with 3 ice cubes, or more if desired, to keep the drink chilled.
- 4
Stir the Mixture
Using a bar spoon, stir the drink gently for about 15-20 seconds to combine the ingredients and chill the drink.
- 5
Garnish
Express the oils from a piece of orange peel over the drink by holding it over the glass and giving it a gentle twist. Then drop the peel into the drink as a garnish.
