Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a small mixing bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, fresh rosemary, and lemon juice. Whisk together until well blended.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Ribeye

Place the ribeye steak in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steak, ensuring it is evenly coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours for more flavor.

Grilling

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat, about 450°F to 500°F (232°C to 260°C).

  2. 4

    Grill the Ribeye

Remove the ribeye from the marinade and let any excess marinade drip off. Place the steak on the hot grill. Grill for 4 to 6 minutes on one side, without moving it, until a nice crust forms.

  3. 5

    Flip the Steak

Using tongs, flip the steak and grill for an additional 4 to 6 minutes for medium-rare, or until your preferred doneness is achieved (internal temperature of 130°F to 135°F for medium-rare).

  4. 6

    Rest the Steak

Once done, remove the ribeye from the grill and let it rest on a cutting board for 5 to 10 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute within the meat.
