Method

Burger Preparation

1

Prepare the Ground Beef

In a mixing bowl, take the 0.33 pounds of ground beef. Ensure it is fresh and ideally at room temperature for even cooking.

2

Season the Beef

Sprinkle the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder over the ground beef. Use your hands to gently mix the spices into the meat, being careful not to overwork it.

3

Form the Patty

Divide the seasoned beef into one equal portion and shape it into a patty that is approximately 3/4 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of the patty to help it cook evenly.

4

Preheat the Grill or Pan

Heat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat until hot. If using a pan, you can add a small amount of oil to prevent sticking.

5

Cook the Burger

Place the formed patty on the hot grill or skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side without pressing down on it. Flip the burger and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes for medium doneness, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness.

6

Add Cheese (Optional)

If you want a cheeseburger, place a slice of cheese on top of the patty during the last minute of cooking, allowing it to melt.

7

Prepare the Bun

While the burger is cooking, slice the burger bun in half and toast it lightly on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

8

Assemble the Burger

Place the cooked patty on the bottom half of the toasted bun. Top with a lettuce leaf, a slice of tomato, and any other desired toppings such as ketchup and mustard.

9

Serve

Cover with the top half of the bun and serve immediately while hot.
