Pasta Preparation

Cook the Penne Pasta
In a large pot of boiling salted water, add the penne pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Chicken
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper.

Bread the Chicken
Set up a breading station with three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, then dip in the eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.

Cook the Chicken
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the breaded chicken breasts and sauté for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove from skillet and place on a baking sheet.

Add the Cheese
Top each chicken breast with a layer of romano cheese, parmesan cheese, and mozzarella cheese.

Combine and Bake
Pour marinara sauce over the chicken breasts and place in the preheated oven. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Serve the baked chicken parmesan over the cooked penne pasta, drizzled with additional marinara sauce if desired.
