Chicken Preparation
- 1
Prepare Chicken
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Place chicken breasts between two pieces of plastic wrap and gently pound them to an even thickness of about 1 inch.
- 2
Breading Station
Set up a breading station by placing flour in one shallow dish, beaten eggs in another, and bread crumbs mixed with salt and pepper in a third.
- 3
Bread the Chicken
Dredge each chicken breast in flour, shaking off any excess. Dip into the beaten eggs, and then coat with the bread crumbs, pressing to adhere. Set aside.
- 4
Cook Chicken
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the breaded chicken breasts and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through. Transfer to a baking dish.
Topping Preparation
- 5
Add Marinara Sauce
Spoon marinara sauce evenly over each piece of chicken, then sprinkle with shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese.
- 6
Bake Chicken
Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Pasta Preparation
- 7
Cook Spaghetti
While the chicken is baking, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- 8
Serve
Serve the chicken parmesan over a bed of spaghetti, garnished with additional Parmesan cheese if desired.
