Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Mango

Peel the mangoes, remove the pit, and chop the flesh into small pieces. Place the mango pieces into a blender.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Raspberries

Rinse the raspberries under cold water and gently pat them dry. Add the raspberries to the blender with the mango.

  3. 3

    Make the Lemon Juice

Juice the lemons to extract 1 cup of lemon juice. Add the lemon juice to the blender with the mango and raspberries.

Making the Syrup

  1. 4

    Combine Sugar and Water

In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of granulated sugar with 1 cup of water. Stir well to mix.

  2. 5

    Heat the Mixture

Heat the saucepan over medium heat until the sugar completely dissolves, stirring occasionally. Once dissolved, remove from heat and let cool.

Blending and Freezing

  1. 6

    Blend the Fruits

Blend the mango, raspberries, and lemon juice mixture until smooth. If necessary, strain through a fine-mesh sieve to remove seeds or pulp for a smoother texture.

  2. 7

    Combine with Syrup

Once the syrup has cooled, pour it into the blender with the fruit mixture. Blend again until fully combined.

  3. 8

    Freeze the Mixture

Transfer the combined mixture into a shallow dish or ice cream maker. If using a shallow dish, stir every 30 minutes until the sorbet is firm, approximately 3-4 hours.
