Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Seafood

In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the fettuccini according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Sauté Aromatics

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped shallots and minced garlic, sautéing until soft and translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Add the Seafood

To the skillet with the shallots and garlic, add the shrimp, sea scallops, mussels, and clams. Stir to combine and cook for about 5 minutes until the seafood begins to turn opaque.

  2. 4

    Deglaze with Wine

Pour in the white wine, scraping the bottom of the skillet to release any bits. Bring to a simmer and let it cook for an additional 5 minutes, or until the mussels and clams have opened.

  3. 5

    Incorporate Tomatoes and Pasta

Add the diced heirloom tomatoes to the skillet and stir gently. Then, add the cooked fettuccini, tossing everything together until well combined and heated through, about 2-3 minutes.

Serving

  1. 6

    Plate and Serve

Serve the Pasta di Mare immediately in bowls, garnished with fresh herbs if desired. Enjoy your delicious seafood pasta!
