Method

Prepare the Pasta

  1. 1

    Boil Water

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.

  2. 2

    Cook Spaghetti

Add the spaghetti to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions until al dente, typically about 8-10 minutes.

  3. 3

    Drain Pasta

Once cooked, drain the spaghetti and set aside, reserving a cup of pasta water.

Prepare the Sauce

  1. 4

    Heat Olive Oil

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.

  2. 5

    Sauté Garlic

Add the minced garlic and crushed red pepper flakes, sautéing for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

  3. 6

    Simmer Sauce

Pour in the marinara sauce and bring to a simmer. Cook for 5-7 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

  4. 7

    Combine Crabmeat

Add the colossal lump crabmeat gently to the sauce, taking care not to break the lumps. Stir to combine.

  5. 8

    Season Sauce

Season the sauce with salt and black pepper to taste.

Combine and Serve

  1. 9

    Toss Pasta with Sauce

Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet with the sauce and crabmeat. Toss gently to coat the pasta evenly.

  2. 10

    Adjust Sauce Consistency

If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water to reach the desired consistency.

  3. 11

    Garnish

Remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

  4. 12

    Serve

Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious crabmeat pasta!
