  1. 1

Chilled bottled soda — ready to serve

Keep unopened 20 oz. bottles refrigerated at 36–40°F (2–4°C) until ready to serve. Serve chilled directly from the bottle or pour over ice into a glass.

  2. 2

    Opening the bottle

Remove the bottle from the refrigerator. Hold the bottle upright on a flat surface. Twist the cap counterclockwise to open. If bottle is carbonated and hisses, allow a few seconds for gas to settle before pouring to reduce fizz and overflow.

  3. 3

    Serving from the bottle

Offer the 20 oz. bottle directly to the guest to drink from, or pour into a clean, chilled glass. If pouring: tilt the glass at a 45° angle and pour slowly down the side to preserve carbonation and minimize foam. Fill to desired level, leaving about 1/2 inch at the top to prevent spilling.

  4. 4

    Serving with ice (optional)

If the guest wants ice, place 4–6 ice cubes (about 1 cup) into a tall glass first, then pour soda over the ice using the same slow, angled pouring technique. Note: adding ice will dilute the soda as the ice melts; use chilled glass to minimize dilution.

  5. 5

    Garnish for Sprite (optional)

For Sprite, serve with an optional lime wedge. Run the lime around the glass rim and drop the wedge into the glass or attach it to the rim for the guest.

  6. 6

    Storage of opened bottle

If the guest does not finish the bottle, reseal with the original cap, store upright in the refrigerator, and consume within 24–48 hours for best carbonation. Expect gradual loss of fizz over time.
