Brewing the Tea

Prepare the Chrysanthemum Flowers
Measure 2 tablespoons of dried chrysanthemum flowers and set them aside.

Boil the Water
In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over medium-high heat.

Steep the Flowers
Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add the chrysanthemum flowers. Cover and let steep for 10 minutes.

Strain the Tea
After steeping, strain the tea into a teapot or a heatproof pitcher to remove the flowers.
Serving the Tea

Optional Sweetening
If desired, add honey to the strained tea and stir until dissolved. Adjust to taste.

Serving Hot
Serve the tea hot in cups. Optionally, add a slice of lemon to each cup for added flavor.

Serving Iced
To serve iced, allow the tea to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until chilled. Serve over ice cubes and garnish with lemon slices, if desired.
