Oysters and Compound Butter

Method

Preparation and Cooking

  1. 1

    Prepare the Compound Butter

In a mixing bowl, combine the softened unsalted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, chopped thyme, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined, then refrigerate until firm.

  2. 2

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C).

  3. 3

    Prepare Oysters

Carefully shuck the Misty Point Oysters, placing them on a baking sheet with the cupped side down.

  4. 4

    Add Compound Butter

Spoon a generous amount of the garlic herb compound butter onto each oyster.

  5. 5

    Roast Oysters

Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and roast the oysters for about 10-12 minutes, or until the oysters are cooked through and the butter is bubbling.

  6. 6

    Serve

Remove from the oven and let cool for a minute. Serve immediately, garnished with additional chopped herbs if desired.
