Fried Cauliflower Ingredients

Method

Soubise Butter Ingredients

  1. 1

    Prepare the Soubise Butter

In a saucepan, melt 4 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add 1 cup of finely chopped onions and cook until they are soft and translucent, about 10 minutes. Stir in 2 tablespoons of cream and season with salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Fry the Cauliflower

Cut the cauliflower into florets. In a bowl, mix the flour, cornstarch, salt, and black pepper. Gradually add cold water to form a smooth batter. Heat the vegetable oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat. Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter and carefully place in the hot oil. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  3. 3

    Crispy Capers and Aleppo Peppers

In a small skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of oil over medium heat. Add 2 tablespoons of capers and fry until crispy, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and sprinkle with Aleppo pepper to taste.

  4. 4

    Serve

On a plate, drizzle the Soubise Butter over the fried cauliflower. Top with the crispy capers and Aleppo peppers. Serve warm.
