Doughnuts

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Doughnut Batter

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. In another bowl, beat the eggs and mix in the apple cider, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.

  2. 2

    Shape the Doughnuts

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a doughnut pan. Spoon the batter into the prepared pan, filling each cavity about 3/4 full.

  3. 3

    Bake the Doughnuts

Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow them to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

  4. 4

    Coat the Doughnuts

While the doughnuts are still warm, roll them in cinnamon sugar to coat.
