Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Rinse the chicken pieces under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Marinate

In a bowl, combine buttermilk, eggs, salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper. Immerse the chicken pieces in the marinade, cover, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Coating

In a separate bowl, mix the all-purpose flour with a pinch of salt and pepper.

  4. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  5. 5

    Coat the Chicken

Remove each piece of chicken from the marinade, allowing the excess to drip off. Dredge the chicken in the flour mixture, ensuring it's fully coated.

  6. 6

    Fry the Chicken

Carefully place the coated chicken pieces into the hot oil, frying in batches if necessary. Cook for 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown and fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 74°C).

  7. 7

    Drain and Serve

Remove the fried chicken from the oil and place it on a wire rack or paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve hot.
