Cocktail base

Method

Glass prep

1

Choose a large wine glass or stemmed balloon glass. Fill the glass generously with large ice cubes to chill the glass and keep the drink cold without quickly diluting it.

Build the spritz

2

Add Campari

Pour 1.5 oz Campari over the ice. This should be the first poured ingredient so it sits boldly in the glass and mixes more evenly when the Prosecco is added.

3

Add Prosecco

Slowly pour 3 oz chilled Prosecco into the glass. Pour gently down the side of the glass or over the back of a spoon to preserve bubbles and avoid excessive foaming.

4

Top with soda

Add 1 oz chilled soda water to top the drink. This lightens the cocktail and adds refreshing effervescence.

5

Gently combine

Give the drink one or two very gentle stirs with a bar spoon to integrate the ingredients without flattening the bubbles. Do not vigorously shake or over-stir.

Garnish & serve

6

Place one fresh orange slice on the rim or float it in the drink. Optionally secure it with a cocktail pick. Serve immediately while chilled and fizzy.
