Steak Preparation

Season the Steak
Generously season the ribeye steak with salt and black pepper on both sides. Let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes.

Rest the Steak
Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest on a cutting board for 5-10 minutes before slicing.

Heat the Butter
In a non-stick skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.

Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.

Cut in Butter
Add cold butter to the dry ingredients and cut it in using a pastry cutter or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Add Milk
Pour in the milk and stir until just combined, being careful not to overmix.

Shape and Bake
Turn the dough out onto a floured surface, pat it into a 1-inch thick round. Cut into rounds with a biscuit cutter and place on a baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
