Method
Preparation of Ahi Marinade
- 1
Marinate Ahi Tuna
Cut the ahi tuna into small cubes and place them in a bowl. Add the citrus juice and ponzu sauce. Mix gently to ensure the fish is evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes.
Cooking the Rice
- 2
Cook Sushi Rice
Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Combine the rinsed rice and water in a rice cooker or saucepan. If using a saucepan, bring to a boil, cover, and reduce heat to low. Cook for 18-20 minutes until water is absorbed. Fluff with a fork and let it cool slightly.
Making Creamy Sriracha Sauce
- 4
Prepare Creamy Sauce
In a small bowl, combine sriracha, mayonnaise, and sesame oil. Mix well until smooth. Adjust the amount of sriracha to taste for desired spiciness.
Assembly
- 5
Assemble the Poke Bowl
In serving bowls, place a scoop of sushi rice at the bottom. Top with the marinated ahi tuna, sliced cucumber, and avocado. Drizzle with the creamy sriracha sauce before serving.
