Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides.

  2. 2

    Cook the Spaghetti

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Asparagus

Trim the ends of the asparagus. In a skillet, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil and sauté the asparagus over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes until tender but crisp. Season with salt and pepper and set aside.

Cooking the Chicken and Sauce

  1. 4

    Cook the Chicken

In the same skillet used for asparagus, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter. Once hot, add the seasoned chicken breasts. Cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.

  2. 5

    Make the Garlic Cream Sauce

In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Pour in the chicken broth, lemon juice, and bring to a simmer. Add heavy cream, capers, salt, and pepper. Stir well and let the sauce thicken for about 3-5 minutes.

  3. 6

    Combine Everything

Return the chicken to the skillet and coat it in the garlic cream sauce. Let it simmer for another 2-3 minutes.

Serving

  1. 7

    Plate the Dish

On a plate, serve a portion of spaghetti topped with the garlic cream sauce and chicken. Arrange sautéed asparagus on the side. Garnish with chopped parsley.
