Method
Preparing the Batter
- 1
Combine Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
- 2
Mix Wet Ingredients
In another bowl, mix together the buttermilk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract until thoroughly combined.
- 3
Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures
Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and gently stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.
Cooking the Pancakes

Preheat the Griddle
Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. You can lightly grease it with a bit of butter or cooking spray.
- 5
Cook the Pancakes
Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the hot skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, about 2-3 minutes. Flip and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
