Method

Cooking the Beef

  1. 1

    Cook the Ground Beef

In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook, breaking it apart with a spatula, until browned, about 5-7 minutes.

  2. 2

    Add Seasoning

Sprinkle the taco seasoning over the browned beef. Add water and stir well to combine. Bring to a simmer and let cook for an additional 5 minutes, until thickened. Remove from heat.

Preparing the Toppings

  1. 3

    Chop the Vegetables

While the beef is cooking, chop the lettuce into bite-sized pieces and dice the tomato.

  2. 4

    Prepare the Cheeses

In a small bowl, measure out the white queso. Crumble the Cotija cheese into another small bowl.

Assembling the Walking Taco

  1. 5

    Choose Your Chips

Select your preferred chips from Fritos, Doritos, or mixed chips.

  2. 6

    Layer the Ingredients

In a single-serving bag of chips, add a layer of taco beef, followed by lettuce, diced tomato, white queso, and crumbled Cotija cheese. Repeat layers if desired.

  3. 7

    Serve

Serve immediately while the beef is warm and the chips are crunchy. Enjoy your walking taco!
