Cooking the Beef

Cook the Ground Beef
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook, breaking it apart with a spatula, until browned, about 5-7 minutes.

Add Seasoning
Sprinkle the taco seasoning over the browned beef. Add water and stir well to combine. Bring to a simmer and let cook for an additional 5 minutes, until thickened. Remove from heat.

Chop the Vegetables
While the beef is cooking, chop the lettuce into bite-sized pieces and dice the tomato.

Prepare the Cheeses
In a small bowl, measure out the white queso. Crumble the Cotija cheese into another small bowl.
Assembling the Walking Taco

Choose Your Chips
Select your preferred chips from Fritos, Doritos, or mixed chips.

Layer the Ingredients
In a single-serving bag of chips, add a layer of taco beef, followed by lettuce, diced tomato, white queso, and crumbled Cotija cheese. Repeat layers if desired.
