Method

Prepare the Beef Patties

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently until just combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and form each portion into a patty, about 1/2 inch thick.

  3. 3

    Cook the Patties

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).

Prepare the Vegetables

  1. 4

    Wash and Cut the Lettuce

Rinse the lettuce leaves under cold water and pat dry. Set aside.

  2. 5

    Slice the Onion

Peel and slice the onion into thin rings.

  3. 6

    Prepare the Pickles

Get your pickle slices ready for assembly.

Make the House Sauce

  1. 7

    Combine Sauce Ingredients

In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, garlic powder, and paprika until smooth.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 8

    Toast the Buns

Lightly toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden.

  2. 9

    Layer the Ingredients

Spread a tablespoon of house sauce on the bottom half of the bun, place a patty on top, add a slice of American cheese, followed by the lettuce, onion, and pickle slices. Top with another tablespoon of house sauce and place the top half of the bun.
