Prepare the Coleslaw

Chop the Vegetables
Finely chop the green cabbage and grate the carrot. Combine them in a bowl.

Make the Dressing
In a separate bowl, mix together mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper to taste.

Pour the dressing over the cabbage and carrot mixture. Toss well to coat and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Prepare the Russian Dressing

In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, and paprika. Stir until smooth.
Assemble the Sandwich

Toast the Bread
Lightly toast the Texas toast slices until golden brown.

Layer Ingredients
On one slice of Texas toast, layer the smoked pastrami, followed by the Swiss cheese, and a generous serving of coleslaw.

Spread Russian dressing on the other slice of Texas toast and top with B&B pickle slices.
