Method
Brownie Ice Cream Preparation
- 1
Preheat and Prepare
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8x8 inch baking dish.
- 2
Mix Wet Ingredients
In a large bowl, melt the unsalted butter and add the granulated sugar, mixing until well combined. Then, add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- 3
Combine Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder and flour until well combined.
- 4
Combine Mixtures
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- 5
Bake Brownies
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow to cool completely.
- 6
Make Ice Cream Mixture
Once cooled, crumble the brownies into smaller pieces. In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gently fold in the brownie pieces into the whipped cream to create a brownie ice cream mixture.
- 7
Freeze Ice Cream
Transfer the brownie ice cream mixture to an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.
