Pretzel

Street Taco

Method

Pretzel

  1. 1

    Prepare the Dough

In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water, brown sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.

  2. 2

    Mix Ingredients

Add flour and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms, then knead on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.

  3. 3

    Let it Rise

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.

  4. 4

    Shape the Pretzel

Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C). Divide the dough into 8 pieces and roll each into a rope. Shape each rope into a pretzel.

  5. 5

    Boil and Bake

Bring a large pot of water to a boil and add baking soda. Boil each pretzel for 30 seconds, then place on a baking sheet. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with everything seasoning.

  6. 6

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.

Street Taco

  1. 7

    Cook the Beef

In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.

  2. 8

    Add Seasoning

Stir in taco seasoning and follow package instructions for adding water. Simmer until thickened.

  3. 9

    Assemble the Tacos

Warm corn tortillas in a separate skillet or microwave. Fill each tortilla with seasoned beef, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and shredded cheese.

  4. 10

    Add Toppings

Top each taco with sour cream before serving.

Queso

  1. 11

    Melt the Cheese

In a saucepan, combine processed cheese and diced tomatoes with green chilies over medium heat. Stir until melted.

  2. 12

    Add Milk

Gradually stir in milk until you reach your desired consistency.

  3. 13

    Optional Jalapeños

If desired, add jalapeños for an extra kick and mix well.

  4. 14

    Garnish

    Serve hot, garnished with cilantro.
