Dipping Sauce
Method
Prepare the Dough
- 1
Activate the Yeast
In a small bowl, combine the warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Stir gently and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until foamy.
- 2
Make the Dough
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and melted butter, then mix until a dough forms.
- 3
Knead the Dough
Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- 4
Let the Dough Rise
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Shape and Bake the Pretzels
- 5
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 6
Shape the Pretzels
Punch down the risen dough and divide it into 8 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a long rope, then twist into a pretzel shape.
- 7
Boil the Pretzels
Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add a tablespoon of baking soda for a traditional pretzel flavor. Boil each pretzel for about 30 seconds on each side, then remove and place on the prepared baking sheet.
- 8
Apply Everything Seasoning
Sprinkle the everything seasoning generously over each pretzel before baking.
- 9
Bake the Pretzels
Bake the pretzels in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
