Method

Churro Bites

  1. 1

    Prepare the Dough

In a medium saucepan, combine water, butter, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat.

  2. 2

    Mix in Flour

Remove from heat and stir in the flour until the mixture pulls away from the sides of the pan and forms a ball.

  3. 3

    Incorporate Eggs

Let the dough cool for a few minutes. Then, add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until fully incorporated.

  4. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a deep pan or fryer, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  5. 5

    Fry the Churro Bites

Using a pastry bag fitted with a star tip, pipe small bite-sized pieces of dough into the hot oil. Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  6. 6

    Coat with Cinnamon Sugar

In a bowl, mix granulated sugar with ground cinnamon. Roll the fried churro bites in the mixture to coat.

Cream Cheese Filling

  1. 7

    Prepare the Filling

In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.

  2. 8

    Fill the Churro Bites

Using a piping bag, fill each churro bite with the cream cheese mixture by inserting the tip into the side and squeezing gently.

Spiced Chocolate Sauce

  1. 9

    Make the Sauce

In a small saucepan over low heat, combine chocolate chips and heavy cream. Stir until smooth and melted.

  2. 10

    Add Spices

Stir in ground cinnamon and a pinch of cayenne pepper for a spicy kick. Mix until fully incorporated.
