Fried Cheese Curds

Prepare the Breading
In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, and pepper. In another bowl, whisk together the buttermilk and egg.

Bread the Cheese Curds
Dip each cheese curd into the flour mixture, then into the buttermilk mixture, and finally coat with bread crumbs.

In a deep pot or fryer, heat the oil to 350°F (175°C).

Fry the Cheese Curds
Fry the breaded cheese curds in batches for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Buffalo Sauce

In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter.

Once melted, add the hot sauce, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper. Stir until well combined.

Let the sauce simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Ranch Dressing

In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, sour cream, buttermilk, dried dill, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Whisk until smooth.

Refrigerate the ranch dressing for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Combine Curds and Sauce
In a large bowl, toss the fried cheese curds with the buffalo sauce until evenly coated.
