Bread Pudding

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Bread

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Cut the day-old bread into cubes and place them in a large mixing bowl.

  2. 2

    Mix the Custard

In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, bourbon, and salt until well combined.

  3. 3

    Combine and Soak

Pour the custard mixture over the bread cubes, making sure all pieces are well coated. Allow to soak for at least 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  4. 4

    Bake the Pudding

Transfer the soaked bread mixture to a greased baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the custard is set.
