Method
Prepare Glass
Chill or Ice
If you prefer a colder, slower-diluting drink, place a tall Collins or pint glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes or add 4 large ice cubes to the glass.
Build the Cocktail
Pour 1.5 oz vodka, 0.5 oz elderflower liqueur (or triple sec), 3 oz fresh orange juice, 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice and 0.25 oz simple syrup into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
Add 2 dashes of Angostura bitters into the shaker.
Quickly shake the mixture for 8–10 seconds just to chill and combine — you don't need to over-dilute because beer will be added directly.
Strain the shaken mixture into the prepared glass (over ice if used), leaving room for the beer.
Slowly top with 12 oz chilled lager or light beer. Pour gently down the side of the glass to preserve some carbonation and avoid an excessive head.
Finish & Garnish
Give the drink a gentle stir with a bar spoon (1–2 turns) to integrate the beer with the citrus-vodka base without flattening it.
Garnish with an orange wheel or twist on the rim. If using, slap the rosemary sprig between your palms to release aroma and rest it on top of the drink.
Serve immediately with a straw or sip directly. Encourage guests to stir lightly once during drinking if separation occurs.
