Wine Details

  1. 1

    Chill the bottle

Place the bottle of Sean Minor Sauvignon Blanc in the refrigerator for about 2 hours before serving. Ideal serving temperature is 45–50°F (7–10°C). If you’re short on time, chill the bottle in an ice bucket (half ice, half water) for 20–30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Open the bottle

Remove the foil capsule and wipe the top of the bottle with a clean cloth. Use a corkscrew to gently remove the cork, taking care not to agitate the wine. If the bottle is screwcap, simply twist and open.

  3. 3

    Allow a brief rest

After opening, let the wine sit in the bottle for 2–3 minutes to settle and give any bouquet a chance to open before pouring.

Serving

  1. 4

    Choose appropriate glassware

Use a standard white wine glass or an all-purpose wine glass. The bowl should be narrower than a red wine glass to concentrate the wine's aromatic notes.

  2. 5

    Pouring

Pour 4–6 ounces (120–180 ml) of Sean Minor Sauvignon Blanc per serving into chilled glasses. Fill to about one-third to one-half of the glass to allow room for aromas to develop.

  3. 6

    Optional: Serve on the rocks

If you prefer a colder, more casual presentation, add 2–3 ice cubes to the glass before pouring. Note that ice will dilute the wine as it melts and slightly mute the aromatics.

  4. 7

    Optional: Spritz or garnish

For a light spritz-style drink, pour 3–4 ounces (90–120 ml) of the Sauvignon Blanc and top with 2–3 ounces (60–90 ml) sparkling water in a large glass. Garnish with a lemon or lime wedge and a sprig of fresh mint if desired. Gently stir once.

  5. 8

    Taste and enjoy

Swirl the glass gently, inhale to appreciate the wine's aromatics (look for citrus, green apple, grass, or gooseberry typical of Sauvignon Blanc), then take a sip. Note the bright acidity and any fruit or herbaceous notes. Re-cork the bottle and store in the refrigerator if not finished; consume within 3–5 days for best quality.
