Method

Potato Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Cut them into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick, to form fries.

  2. 2

    Soak the Fries

Place the cut fries in a large bowl of cold water and soak for at least 30 minutes. This helps to remove excess starch.

  3. 3

    Dry the Fries

After soaking, drain the fries and pat them dry with paper towels to remove any excess moisture.

Frying the Fries

  1. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  2. 5

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the dried fries to the hot oil in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pot. Fry for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

  3. 6

    Drain the Fries

Using a slotted spoon, remove the fries from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels. Sprinkle with salt immediately.

Truffle Coating

  1. 7

    Add Truffle Oil

Once the fries are drained and still hot, drizzle the truffle oil over them and toss to coat evenly.

  2. 8

    Add Parmesan and Seasoning

Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, and black pepper over the fries. Toss gently to combine.

Serving

  1. 9

    Serve the Truffle Fries

Transfer the truffle fries to a serving platter and serve immediately while hot. Enjoy!
