Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Vegetables

Start by shucking the corn and cutting it into halves. Peel and dice the potatoes into quarters. Chop the onion into large chunks.

Cooking

  1. 2

    Cook the Potatoes and Corn

In a large pot, add enough water to cover the potatoes and corn. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, add the diced potatoes and corn halves. Cook for about 10-12 minutes until the potatoes are tender.

  2. 3

    Add the Sausage

After the potatoes are tender, slice the andouille sausage into thick pieces. Add the sausage to the pot and cook for an additional 5 minutes.

  3. 4

    Add the Seafood

Next, add the shrimp, clams, mussels, and snow crab legs to the pot. Cover and steam for about 5-7 minutes until the seafood is cooked through and the clams and mussels have opened.

  4. 5

    Add the Onion

Finally, add the chunks of onion to the pot and cover for another 2-3 minutes until the onion is slightly softened.

Serving

  1. 6

    Serve the Steamer Platter

Carefully drain the pot and transfer all the ingredients to a large serving platter. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces and enjoy!
