Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Patties

In a mixing bowl, combine the prime angus beef with salt and black pepper. Mix gently to avoid overworking the meat.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the beef mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties about ¾ inch thick.

  3. 3

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness, or until cooked to your preference.

Toppings Preparation

  1. 4

    Prepare Lettuce and Tomato

Wash the romaine lettuce leaves and pat them dry. Slice the tomato into even rounds.

  2. 5

    Slice the Onion

Peel the onion and slice it into thin rings.

  3. 6

    Prepare Pickles

Slice the pickles into thin rounds.

Sauce Preparation

  1. 7

    Make the Churchill Sauce

In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce. Mix well until smooth.

Assembly

  1. 8

    Assemble the Burger

Place one cooked patty on the bottom half of each burger bun. Top with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, a slice of white cheddar, and a generous drizzle of Churchill sauce. Finish with the top half of the bun.
