Burger Preparation

Prepare the Patties
In a mixing bowl, combine the prime angus beef with salt and black pepper. Mix gently to avoid overworking the meat.

Form the Patties
Divide the beef mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties about ¾ inch thick.

Prepare Lettuce and Tomato
Wash the romaine lettuce leaves and pat them dry. Slice the tomato into even rounds.

Slice the Onion
Peel the onion and slice it into thin rings.

Slice the pickles into thin rounds.
Sauce Preparation

Make the Churchill Sauce
In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce. Mix well until smooth.
Assembly

Assemble the Burger
Place one cooked patty on the bottom half of each burger bun. Top with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, a slice of white cheddar, and a generous drizzle of Churchill sauce. Finish with the top half of the bun.
