Preparation of Pasta

Cook Lasagna Noodles
In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and lay them flat on a sheet of parchment paper to prevent sticking.
Meat Sauce

Make the Meat Sauce
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and Italian sausage. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain excess fat.

Prepare the Cheese Mixture
In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, eggs, grated Parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, and chopped parsley. Mix until well combined.
Assemble the Lasagna

Layer the Lasagna
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). In a large baking dish, spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom. Place 3 lasagna noodles over the sauce.

Spread half of the cheese mixture over the noodles, followed by a layer of meat sauce. Repeat with another layer of noodles, cheese mixture, and meat sauce.

Top with the remaining noodles, cover with the last of the meat sauce, and sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese.
Baking

Bake the Lasagna
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbling and golden.

Let the lasagna rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
