Method
Cooking the Eggs
- 1
Fry the Eggs
In a non-stick skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Crack the two eggs into the skillet. Cook until the whites are set but the yolks are still runny, about 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. If you prefer your yolks fully cooked, cover the skillet with a lid for an additional 1-2 minutes.
Cooking the Meat
- 2
Cook Bacon or Sausage
In another skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of butter and heat over medium heat. If using bacon, cook the two strips for about 4-5 minutes on each side until crispy. If using sausage links, cook for about 6-8 minutes, turning occasionally until browned and cooked through.
Preparing the Sides
- 3
Toast the Bread
While the meat is cooking, toast the two slices of bread in a toaster until golden brown.
- 4
Prepare Pancakes or Hash Browns
If making pancakes, prepare according to package instructions or your favorite recipe. For hash browns, heat a small amount of oil in a skillet over medium heat, add 1 cup of hash browns, and cook until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes on each side.

Plate the Meal
On a plate, serve the fried eggs, your choice of bacon or sausage, the toasted bread, and either the pancakes or hash browns. Drizzle maple syrup over the pancakes if desired.
