Bun Preparation
- 1
Make the Dough
In a large bowl, combine the warm water, sugar, and instant yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.
- 2
Mix Ingredients
Add olive oil, salt, and flour gradually, mixing until a dough forms.
- 3
Knead the Dough
Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth.
- 4
First Rise
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- 5
Shape the Buns
Once risen, punch down the dough and divide it into 8 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a bun and place on a baking sheet.
- 6

Cover the buns with a cloth and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- 7
Burger Assembly
- 8
Cook the Beef
Form the ground beef into 4 patties, season with salt and pepper, and grill for about 5-6 minutes on each side until cooked to your preference.
- 9
Add Cheese Curds
During the last minute of cooking, place garlic cheese curds on top of each patty to melt.
- 10
Assemble the Burger
On the grilled bun, layer the beef patty with melted cheese curds, fried onions, and pickles.
