Toppings

Method

Burger Patty Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Burger Patties

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently until just combined, then form into 4 equal-sized patties.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness. In the last minute of cooking, add garlic cheese curds on top of each patty to melt.

Grilled Buns Preparation

  1. 3

    Make the Dough

In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy. In another bowl, mix flour and salt. Gradually add the yeast mixture and melted butter, kneading until smooth.

  2. 4

    Let it Rise

Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

  3. 5

    Shape and Grill Buns

Once risen, divide the dough into 4 pieces and shape into buns. Preheat a grill, brush the buns with butter, and grill until golden brown on both sides.

Fried Onions and French Fries Preparation

  1. 6

    Prepare the French Fries

Peel and cut potatoes into thin strips. Soak in cold water for 30 minutes, then drain and dry them.

  2. 7

    Fry the Potatoes

Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or heavy pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry the potato strips in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels, then season with salt.

  3. 8

    Prepare Fried Onions

Slice onions thinly and fry in hot oil until golden and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Assembly

  1. 9

    Assemble the Burger

On each grilled bun, place a burger patty topped with melted garlic cheese curds, a generous amount of fried onions, and pickles. Serve alongside freshly made French fries.
