Octopus

Lemon Vinaigrette

Method

Preparing the Octopus

  1. 1

    Cleaning the Octopus

Rinse the octopus under cold running water to remove any dirt and debris. Pat dry with a paper towel.

  2. 2

    Cooking the Octopus

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the octopus and reduce the heat to low. Simmer for about 45 minutes or until tender. Remove the octopus and let it cool slightly.

  3. 3

    Grilling the Octopus

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Cut the octopus into manageable pieces. In a bowl, mix olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Brush the mixture over the octopus pieces. Grill each piece for about 3-4 minutes per side until nicely charred.

Making the Lemon Vinaigrette

  1. 4

    Combining Ingredients

In a bowl, whisk together lemon juice, olive oil, Dijon mustard, honey, salt, and black pepper until fully emulsified.

  2. 5

    Adjusting to Taste

Taste the vinaigrette and adjust seasoning as needed. You can add more salt, pepper, or honey to balance the flavors.

Serving

  1. 6

    Plating the Dish

On a serving plate, arrange the grilled octopus pieces. Drizzle the lemon vinaigrette over the top. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley.

  2. 7

    Enjoying the Meal

Serve immediately while the octopus is warm, and enjoy the dish with your favorite side or salad.
