Method
Preparation
- 1
Brew the Green Tea
Begin by brewing the green tea. Heat 4 oz of water to just below boiling (about 175°F or 80°C). Steep 1-2 teaspoons of loose green tea or a green tea bag in the hot water for 2-3 minutes, then strain or remove the bag.
- 2
Mix the Alcoholic Ingredients
In a cocktail shaker, combine 2 oz of gin, 1 oz of Lillet Blanc, and 0.5 oz of yuzu juice. Add the brewed green tea (cooled to room temperature) to the shaker.
- 3
Add Honey
Add 1 tablespoon of local honey to the shaker. If the honey is too thick, you can warm it slightly to make it easier to mix.
Shaking and Serving
- 4
Shake the Mixture
Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.
- 5
Strain and Serve
Strain the mixture into a chilled glass. You can serve it straight up or over ice, depending on your preference.
- 6
Garnish (Optional)
For an added touch, you can garnish with a slice of yuzu or a sprig of mint.
