Preparation

    Soak the Baccalà

    Rinse the salted cod under cold water, then soak it in a large bowl of water for 24 hours, changing the water every 8 hours.

    Prepare the Seafood

    Clean the calamari by removing the innards and skin, then cut into rings. Peel and devein the shrimp. Clean the clams and mussels under cold water.

    Chop Vegetables

    Mince the garlic, chop the cherry tomatoes in half, and roughly chop the parsley.

    Prepare Lemon

    Zest and juice the lemons, setting them aside for later use.

Cooking

    Cook the Baccalà

    In a large pot, heat 50ml of olive oil over medium heat. Add the soaked baccalà and cook for 10 minutes until slightly golden.

    Make the Seafood Stew

    Add the minced garlic, cherry tomatoes, and red chili flakes to the pot with baccalà. Stir and cook for 5 minutes.

    Add Wine and Simmer

    Pour in the white wine and allow it to simmer for 5 minutes. Then, add the cleaned clams, mussels, shrimp, and calamari. Cover and cook for 10 minutes until the seafood is cooked through.

    Finish the Dish

    Add the crab meat, lemon juice, and half of the chopped parsley. Stir gently and cook for an additional 5 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Serving

    Plate the Dish

    Serve the seafood stew in large bowls. Drizzle with the remaining olive oil and sprinkle with the remaining parsley and lemon zest.

    Pair with crusty bread and a crisp white wine.
