Tuna Melt Ingredients

Method

Tuna Melt Directions

1

Prepare the Tuna Filling

In a medium bowl, combine the canned tuna, mayonnaise, chopped celery, chopped red onion, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.

2

Assemble the Sandwich

Take two slices of bread and spread a generous amount of the tuna mixture on each. Top with shredded cheddar cheese. Place the remaining two slices of bread on top to form sandwiches.

3

Cook the Tuna Melts

In a skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Place the sandwiches in the skillet and cook until the bread is golden brown, about 3-4 minutes. Flip the sandwiches, add the remaining butter, and cook until the other side is golden brown and the cheese is melted.

4

Serve

Remove the sandwiches from the skillet, slice in half, and serve hot with your favorite sides.
