Grilled Bread

Method

Prepare the Bruschetta Topping

  1. 1

    Dice the Tomatoes

Wash the fresh tomatoes and dice them into small pieces. Place them in a mixing bowl.

  2. 2

    Chop the Basil

Wash the basil leaves, pat them dry, and chop them roughly. Add to the bowl with the tomatoes.

  3. 3

    Mince the Garlic

Peel and mince the garlic cloves. Add them to the tomato and basil mixture.

  4. 4

Add Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegar

Pour in the olive oil and balsamic vinegar into the bowl. Stir to combine all ingredients.

  5. 5

    Season

Add salt and black pepper to taste. Mix well and set aside to let the flavors meld.

Prepare the Grilled Bread

  1. 6

    Slice the Bread

Slice the baguette or Italian bread into 1-inch thick slices.

  2. 7

    Brush with Olive Oil

Brush both sides of each slice with olive oil.

  3. 8

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium heat.

  4. 9

    Grill the Bread

Place the bread slices on the grill and toast for about 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown and crispy.

Assemble the Bruschetta

  1. 10

    Top the Grilled Bread

Remove the grilled bread from the heat and let it cool slightly. Spoon the tomato and basil mixture generously on top of each slice.

  2. 11

    Serve Immediately

Serve the bruschetta immediately while the bread is still warm. Enjoy!
