Prepare the Beef
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Season the beef tenderloin with salt and black pepper. Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the beef on all sides until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side.

Roast the Beef
Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and roast for 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches your desired doneness (135°F for medium-rare). Remove from the oven and let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
