Brownie Preparation

Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.

Make the Brownie Batter
In a saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until combined. Sift in flour, cocoa powder, and salt, then fold in the chocolate chips.

Bake the Brownies
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Let cool.

Make the Caramel
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt sugar until it turns amber in color. Stir in butter until melted, then carefully add the heavy cream and sea salt. Stir until smooth and remove from heat.

Pour the caramel over the cooled brownies, spreading it evenly. Allow to set for about 15 minutes.
Topping and Serving

Crush the mini pretzels and sprinkle them over the caramel layer. Top with chocolate truffles, pressing them gently into the caramel.
